Since its founding, AFBS has sponsored song recitals, concerts and lectures of the Berlin Staatsoper across the United States. Its members and patrons have traveled to Berlin for operas, concerts and lectures while also visiting Berlin’s fabulous museums and wondrous historical sites.
The American Friends of the Berlin Staatsoper receive each year’s program and their ticket requests are handled with priority and preference. They receive invitations to distinctive events in Berlin especially during the yearly music festival, the FESTTAGE. Special performances and fundraising events are held in New York with Staatsoper and Staatskapelle artists.
American Friends of the Berlin Staatsoper, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
